((short version))
10 years ago, The famous Red Moon Pack split in two because of internal strife.
Blood Moon then settles soon after in Colorado.
Blood Moon lived in peace, for the next several years.
6 months ago, Mike finds Blood Moon.
Ten years ago, the famous Red Moon Pack, Originally from Europe, now situated in southern Montana, was divided in their opinions of humans.
Now, Grand-Alpha, who lead the pack over to America in WWII, was quite fond of humans... at least, for a werewolf. He was a kind soul, and would take in any stray wolf who needed a home. In doing so, he acquired quite a rag tag pack with different views. These views manifested themselves in two main groups.
Members of the first group were considered odd for their acceptance of all things, humans included.
The second group however, weren't exactly normal either; they were highly xenophobic, refusing to use anything made by humans, not to mention their aversion to most things other than their own pack.
Despite this, the pack lived in harmony under their patriarch.
This harmony, however, ended in an accident in which the Grand-Alpha died. An accident involving humans.
And so the largest werewolf pack in North America split into two Packs; Blood Moon, and Hell's Moon.
Blood Moon was composed of the more peaceable werewolves. They, with the grandson of The Grand-Alpha as their leader, turned tail and ran from the fighting, leaving their lands in search of a more peaceful place to raise their cubs and war orphans. They moved south and settled in Colorado. In their new home, they followed the ways of The Grand-Alpha; accepting rouges and strays, like so few other werewolf packs did.
Hell's Moon attempted to stay in Red Moon's original territory for a time, but the fighting had drawn attention from the humans, specifically an organization called THETA. Despite Hell's Moon's anti-human ways, they did not want to risk a full on confrontation with the human race, even if it meant giving up their home.
